Questions about RiseWell?

You’re in the right place. Here’s a quick overview of what we do, who we serve, and how you can take part.

About RiseWell

RiseWell is a mental wellness initiative supporting first responders, their families, and the broader public safety community. We promote resilience, compassion, and proactive self-care through education, outreach, and connection.

Our work is built for the people who serve — Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Dispatchers, and their families. We also welcome community members and partners who want to strengthen first responder wellness.

RiseWell was founded by public safety professionals who understand the realities of life on both sides of the radio. Our mission grows from lived experience and a desire to bring healing, honesty, and hope into the first responder community.

The name represents both strength and healing — rising through challenges while learning to care for our minds, bodies, and relationships along the way.

RiseWell is a mission-driven initiative currently in development toward formal nonprofit status. Every step is guided by transparency, service, and collaboration with professionals across the public safety spectrum.

The Movement

It’s both a reminder and a promise — to rise through challenges with wellness, courage, and community. It represents the daily commitment to take care of ourselves and each other.

BRAVE is our framework for wellness, built around five guiding pillars that reflect what courage looks like in real life. (Each pillar is described in The BRAVE Initiative page.)

Through shared resources, peer stories, and educational content designed to make wellness approachable and sustainable in the realities of emergency work.

The Movement is the collective effort of first responders, families, and supporters choosing to prioritize wellness and humanity in the emergency services world.

Anyone can join by learning, sharing, and living the BRAVE principles — inside their departments, families, or communities.

Because the people who show up for everyone else deserve spaces that show up for them. First responders face unique stresses, and wellness must be addressed in ways that understand that reality.

Getting Support

RiseWell does not provide direct therapy or crisis counseling. We connect individuals with trusted resources and provide educational materials to help navigate mental wellness options.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call or text 988 in the U.S. for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. If outside the U.S., visit this link for international resources.

Not yet — we’re currently focused on building the foundation of the RiseWell movement. As we grow, we plan to develop programs and partnerships that bring wellness education to agencies and teams.

You can expect practical tools, curated articles, and approachable guidance from trusted sources in mental health, leadership, and peer support. Our goal is to make credible information easy to find and apply.

We welcome suggestions. If you know of a resource, organization, or topic that should be shared, you can send it through the contact form on our Join the Movement page.

Joining In

You can participate by sharing resources, starting a conversation in your department, or joining our growing community through the Join the Movement page.

We are developing those options responsibly as RiseWell grows. If you’d like to explore partnership opportunities, reach out through the Contact page.
